Modernising Mobica’s website for better engagement

The brief_

Following a complete brand refresh, Mobica needed to update its website to reflect its ambitious new position and personality.

The software engineering and development provider’s website is a key asset in lead generation and attracting talent. Their existing site, however, was outdated and didn’t provide potential clients with the unique experiences they expect from a brand that serves some of the world’s leading tech companies.

As we successfully delivered their brand refresh, Mobica asked us to help find and integrate a new content management system (CMS) and develop, create, and deliver a new website that reflected their brand and digital capabilities. We were also tasked with boosting the website’s SEO performance as well as numbers of visitors and leads generated.

Our approach_

Pod services used:

We took a step-by-step approach to provide Mobica with a brilliant new website:

Step 1: Identify the ideal CMS

As Mobica was already using HubSpot services, HubSpot CMS Hub was the natural choice for ensuring strong integration and smoother onboarding. The flexibility of HubSpot’s CMS platform also enabled Mobica staff to showcase their technical capabilities and create unique user experiences.

Step 2: Build a best-in-class website

We researched what was needed to make Mobica’s new site truly best-in-class, and realised that ensuring seamless integration of the new site with the applicant tracking system would be crucial.

This was because the provider’s entire business model centres around finding the most talented software engineers. The system they were using didn’t work within the HubSpot ecosystem, so we built them a completely custom API integration to create a faultless flow of data between the two.

Step 3: Bring Mobica’s propositions to life online

Mobica’s global reach meant that the website needed to service different users, with different preferences and requirements, so it was vital for us to think about user experience from this perspective.

We ensured all visitors could access the site by carefully implementing the seven principles of universal design, making sure it achieved the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines’ (WCAG) 2.1 standards.

We also wanted to make sure the site was compelling from a visual and useability perspective, with a concise and clear layout that would keep users scrolling. Achieving this required us to utilise the creative skills of our web design team’s creative skills and our content team’s ability to provide snappy, SEO-optimised copy.

The results_

Mobica’s new website has achieved some impressive numbers since going live in November 2021. In fact, their job opportunities page set a record for number of monthly visitors - 1,488 in November 2021 - and overall page views in the same month reached 8,846.

Within a week of launching, the company secured a significant new lead who had been directed to the website via email marketing.

The Marketing Pod continues to support Mobica’s new site by keeping the content fresh and implementing an ongoing SEO strategy, as well as regularly releasing new components and features. Additionally, we regularly review and maintain Mobica’s data portfolio within HubSpot to help better target and engage their audience.

“The Marketing Pod team went above and beyond when it came to delivering our new website. They thought of everything, from how to ensure that the site was fully accessible to how to integrate our applicant tracking system in the optimum way. We secured exciting new business leads and new talent applications through the website within a month of its launch, so we’re hoping to see our conversion rate soar going forward.”
