The Marketing Pod scoops two national Drum Network awards

The Marketing Pod has been flying the flag for Midlands based agencies after winning two Highly Commended awards at this year’s National Drum Network Awards.

The Drum Network Awards is an annual event that take place in London and recognises the best marketing businesses from across the UK. The Marketing Pod won Highly Commended for ‘Integrated Agency of the Year’ as well as ‘Marketing Business of the Year – South’. With eight finalists in the Integrated category and nine finalists in the Southern category, this is a significant achievement for the team.

Commenting on the award wins, Director and co-founder of The Marketing Pod, Jennifer Hughes said, ‘To win not one but two Highly Commended awards is such an achievement for us. National awards are more often than not dominated by London based agencies, so to get this type of recognition when we were up against such fierce competition is just brilliant’.

The firm, established only three years ago, has experienced exponential growth since its founders Jenny Hughes and Jodie Williams left their senior roles in corporate firms and set up the agency from a kitchen table in Dorridge.  With a team of nine and a large office at Umberslade Business Park in Hockley Heath, The Marketing Pod now boasts major firms such as National Grid and DONG Energy as clients, has grown its turnover five-fold since 2013, and has plans to expand its headcount further in 2017.
