The Marketing Pod named Small Consultancy of the Year

6th July 2018

The Marketing Pod is celebrating after being named Small Consultancy of the Year by the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA). The team picked up the title at the Midlands PRCA Dare Awards, beating off stiff competition to take away the prize at a ceremony in Birmingham on Wednesday 4 July.

The PRCA DARE Awards recognise the ‘very best Communications and PR professionals across the UK’. The judges commented that “The Marketing Pod demonstrated impressive turnover, especially for such a small team.  They felt that the consultancy had clear objectives, were ambitious and strong in their approach with a sound focus on overcoming challenges.”

The Marketing Pod was established in 2013 by Jennifer Hughes and Jodie Williams and has grown exponentially each year, now with nine employees, a long list of national clients and a growing trophy cabinet with 12 industry awards collected over the last five years.

Harry Gardiner, Communications and Social Media Manager, PRCA, said: “Huge congratulations to The Marketing Pod for taking home the Small Consultancy of the Year award at last night’s PRCA DARE Awards Birmingham. They’ve demonstrated time and time again that they can overcome any challenges thrown at them in ambitious and intuitive ways, and we look forward to seeing them grow and excel further.”

Commenting on the success, Jennifer Hughes, director and co-founder of The Marketing Pod, said: “We’re delighted to have been named Small Consultancy of the Year by the PRCA just five years after The Marketing Pod was set up. The Midlands has a wealth of PR and communications talent, so winning is a real testament to the hard work put in by all the team and recognition of the results we deliver for our clients.”
